the workweek has left me behind,

and it's wonderful.

slept late, which is a good start to any day. especially a monday. in fact, it's been pretty slow all day. went to help db with the dogs. went to the chimes, which is easily a highlight of any day. fried louisiana alligator with a horseradish dip, crabmeat-stuffed jalapeno peppers with a dip of unknown origins, oyster poboy, and who can forget the obligatory pitcher of miller lite (only $6.50).

we were supposed to eat lunch with megan and her bf, so dana texted her at about 11:30. no reply. called her when she got out of class at 12:30. no reply. finally got a call from megan at 1:30, but since cell phones blow they couldn't hear each other. dana texted her to tell her we'd be there for awhile since we just got the pitcher. well, when we were leaving at 3pm, they showed up. megan looked disappointed that we weren't going to stay, but if you make a lunch date on saturday and show up at 3pm on monday, take what you get.

then a nap, of course. dana beth is at class now. i'm grilling some burgers later so i have to go to walmart soon. she's making me a chocolate chip pound cake later too so i have to procure those ingredients. maybe some corn on the cob or tater tots to go with the burgers too. cheese, i must remember to get some cheese. we ran outta wine last night during the movie. 5 liters in 5 days. what a great visit.
